*This is an excerpt from a conversation I had with my son shortly after I hung up the wok and started snuggling.*

“Mom? How many followers do you have now?”

“I don’t have any followers.”

“Didn’t you have like a thousand?”

“No. Not hardly. I think I around 600.”

“What happened to them? Did you make all of them mad?”

“No. I don’t have a follower widget anymore.”

“So people hate you now, right?”

“No. I. Just. Don’t. Have. A. Follower. Widget.”

“Why doesn’t anyone like you anymore?”

“It’s not that they don’t like me. It’s just that I started over and I don’t have many readers since I’m new.”

“That’s sounds like an excuse to me. I think people must hate you. You really should be nicer.”

“Thanks, hon. I’ll take that into consideration.”

Have you received any unsolicited advice lately?

*I’ve been Spring Cleaning my blog. All drafts must go. Much more randomness to come.*

Tell your son anyone can collect followers. Only the cool people get comments ;0)

  2. I haven’t received any of late but maybe I should consult your 8 year old for a good ol’ swift kick in the butt? I think I need it! ;-)
