Monday Minute

1 – Where aside from a toilet have you taken a dump?  Explain.

Ummm…maybe the bed whilst birthing my child but that’s on the list of Things We Don’t Talk About so I don’t know for sure. And 11 years later I don’t really want to know.

2 – At this point do you really think that Magic Johnson has HIV/AIDS?

I think this was a brilliant scheme between his wife, Cookie, and his doctors. They told Magic he has HIV so he’d stop effing around all the time.

3 – Would you wrestle a member of the same sex, nude, in pudding for 10 minutes for one million dollars?

Ten minutes is a long time but one million dollars is a LOT of money. In a word, YES.  But no video or photos allowed.

4 – Squash just doesn’t sound very tasty.  What say you?

I only like it fried. Yes, I am a chubby southerner, why do you ask?

and finally…

5 – Is it worth the effort?

Depends on what “it” is…

Having a baby – worth the effort.

Making your own sushi – not worth the effort.

Not beating your children in public (no matter how badly they’re behaving) – worth the effort.

Scrubbing the grout with a toothbrush – not worth the effort.

What do you think is worth the effort? What isn’t? Tell me in the comments.

I think I might have been out in the woods when nature called. And yes, for a million bucks, yes.

Speaking my mind in disagreement when my wife is in one of her moods. Not worth it.
Driving for an hour to see my grandchildren. Worth it.
Taking time off from work to play ball. Worth it.
Spending money on something I want, but don’t really need. Worth it.
Driving to the store to get that one thing you’re out of. Not worth it.

  2. hahaah, you always crack me up.

Your answer to #2 is perhaps the most humerous thing I have read in awhile. Perhaps because I never really thought about it that way…but you know what, you’re SPOT ON! Brilliant!

While this is sort of bland…I think setting and sticking to a budget is worth the effort. While it nearly broke me in the beginning, it has gotten pretty comfortable for me and the hubs, and it’s SO nice not to go into cardiac arrest should something expensive come up that we weren’t necessarily expecting.

    Worth the effort?

Making a meal that every one in my family loves.

    Totally worth every second.

Love the Magic number. Cracked me up. I think I might have peed my pants…but not the #2 thingy you were asked about. LOL
